NEW SERMON SERIES - "REVERSED THUNDER"
Those who study human development observe that the way a child learns to speak is by hearing and repeating the words of her parents. The Psalms - the dog-eared prayerbook at the center of the Christian Scriptures - work like this, too: they are the words God gives us to learn to speak to the God who has spoken to us in Christ. So, whether you’re hoping to connect with God for the very first time, or have spent a lifetime as a praying follower of Jesus, you’re invited to join us in June as we listen to the “reversed thunder” of the Psalms and learn to enter into a praying life with God.

BUDGET UPDATE
As we near the conclusion of the fiscal year, Liberti has a projected deficit of $50,000. For more about this, and to read Executive Pastor Mike Harder's call to action, click here

HAWTHORNE PARK MOVIE NIGHT
We are in need of volunteers to help us run the community movie nights in Hawthorne Park (12th & Catherine)! We’ll be setting up, serving snacks, and playing with the neighborhood kids before the movie begins. This summer, the movie nights will take place on May 29 (Annie) and June 26 (Frozen). Our volunteers will gather in the park at 7:00. Last year over 500 people came to these events, so please join us to share the love of Jesus with our neighborhood! Email Ashley Somers to sign-up to serve!

SUMMER AT LIBERTI
We’ll be continuing our ministry this summer through a variety of different discipleship groups and community activities both in Center City and on the Main Line. There will be many opportunities to stay connected, and if you’re new here, plenty of chances to get plugged in and meet people! Check out our website for more information.

COFFEE HOUR TIME CHANGE - MAIN LINE CAMPUS
For the summer months, beginning on June 14, we are going to enjoy coffee hour after the worship service, from 12:15 - 1:00 PM. We invite you to join us for this time of community building each week!

OUTDOOR SERVICE & PICNIC - MAIN LINE CAMPUS
On June 7, we will be doing a special outdoor service, followed by a picnic! The family-friendly service will begin at 11:00 AM, and will take place in the Ballbach’s backyard (415 Boxwood Rd., Bryn Mawr). Invite friends and neighbors, and plan to join us!

THE SOMERS' ARE MOVING
Chad and Ashley Somers, who have been a part of the Liberti community for five years, have made the difficult decision to move to Rochester, NY where Chad will enter a Doctorate of Musical Arts program at Eastman School of Music, in pursuit of his dream of becoming a professor of voice. For the past two years, they've led our church as a Deacon (Chad) and Director of Family Ministries & Connections (Ashley). Both moved to Philadelphia individually to pursue master's degrees and careers, and decided to stay here largely due to the community and ministry at Liberti. While at Liberti, they met, got married, and welcomed their first child, Barrington. They will continue serving with us before they move at the end of July, and they'll work hard to help us prepare for the next season of ministry at Liberti Church.
